The Look: Rainy Day Errand Running

It’s October…in Vancouver…at some point, it is going to rain. While I love rainy day movie watching in bed just as much as the next gal, eventually I do have to venture out to do things like buy groceries, get coffee…

Enter track pants. The perfect answer to rainy day errand running. They’re comfy, cozy, don’t stretch out when they get wet…To avoid a “fresh from the gym” look, try pairing them with an oversized (read cozy) sweater with a button-up shirt poking out the bottom and leather sneakers. Top it off with a lightweight rain jacket (which is way easier than an umbrella when darting in and out of the car) and you’re good to go.

RAINS Short Rain Jacket

This modern, lightweight jacket with matte finish from the Danish brand RAINS is everything this fall. Looking to lighten up your rainy day arsenal? It also comes in pink, yellow, blue, teal...

Oversized Sweater

I don't think a girl can really have too many cozy oversized sweaters. This light pink one from H&M adds a nice hit of colour.

Available at H&M $49.99*

The Group by Babaton Reno Shirt

This longer-fitting cotton-wool-flannel shirt is soft, warm and perfect for wearing on it's own or layering under a turtleneck sweater.

Available at Aritzia $98*

TNA Columbia Pants

A go-to and versatile track pant that can be dressed up or down depending on your need. The fitted ankle ensures that your hems stay nice and dry above your shoes.

Available at Aritzia $60*

Adidas Stan Smith Sneakers

Tired of your rain boots? A leather sneaker is a great alternative to a boot on a rainy day. They'll keep your feet dry but you'll actually be able to walk comfortable (running errands in rain boots is really not optimal).

Available at Foot Locker $109*
