Style Spotlight: Kiddie Prints

TBH, I don’t spend a ton of time in the toddler section but in honour of our ‘Girl in Focus’ Meray Froese, who is the mother of an adorable toddler, I took a stroll through Carter’s | Oshkosh, The Children’s Place and H&M’s kids section and, let me tell you – the pattern game is on point!

From stripes and florals, to animal prints and actual animals (unicorns, sea creatures, horses, cats, dogs…), to food, to machinery…it’s on toddler clothes. You can get patterned shirts, dresses, shorts, rompers, overalls, swimsuits…

Here are some of my favourites (and yes, I found a lot of things that I wished came in “grown up” sizes).

Ruffle Rompers - Two Pack

Umm OBSESSED with these and you can even get matching headbands. I mean, come on...

Available at The Children's Place $39.95*

Ikat Print Ruffle Romper

With its allover print, ruffle neckline and bright pompom trim, this jersey romper is sure to be a warm weather favourite.

Available at Carter's | OshKosh $20*

Sea Creatures Snap-Up Romper

Not gonna lie, I might rock a sea creature covered romper. Also, why don't grown-up rompers snap up? Has anyone else ever gotten stuck in their romper due to a faulty zipper? No? Just me? Cool, cool, cool.

Available at Carter's | OshKosh $21*

Cotton Dress

This is just one of the MANY printed cotton dresses available at H&M. I liked the lemons, but there are tons of other patterns to choose from like butterflies, hearts and more florals.

Available at H&M $6.99*

Floral Print Shortalls

If it were me, I'd pair these shortalls with a striped t-shirt and some natives.

Available at The Children's Place $34.95*
