On Trend: Spring Bombers

This spring, the bomber is straying from it’s athleisure roots and going “girly” in florals prints and pastels.

Not sure how to wear a bomber and still look like a grown up? It’s all about proportion and how you style them. Bombers come in a variety of lengths, I tend to gravitate towards ones that hit just below my hipbone as opposed to more cropped versions and I wear mine over shirts that cover my midriff (i.e. not crop tops). Once you find the cut that works best for you, the styling possibilities really are endless. Wear it over a silk cami with a pleated midi skirt, over a lace blouse with cropped dress pants, over a loose-fitting t-shirt with denim, over a slip dress with booties, they even work with tapered joggers and white sneakers (have I convinced you that you NEED a bomber yet?).

Here are my top 5 spring bombers, all available at Coquitlam Centre.

This satin bomber is a great option for those of you who aren't into florals. The pink and green pattern is feminine yet edgy and perfect for spring. Pair with a pink pleated skirt or white denim.

Calvin Klein Floral Crepe Bomber Jacket

This Calvin Klein bomber is another great option for those of you that aren't huge fans of florals. Yes, it's covered in flowers but they've been placed in such at way that they look more like blobs of colour than flowers. Wear over a slip dress with block heeled sandals.

Brunette the Label Courtney Bomber

The cool girl's pink bomber. This bomber with black "Brunette" or "Blonde" patch and pink stitching is exclusive to Below the Belt. Pair with light denim and white sneakers for a laid-back yet feminine vibe.
