Sometimes all you need is that one hour to yourself to relax and freshen up. Once in a blue moon, I like to treat myself to an hour at the spa for a quick manicure or a relaxing facial. It’s a great time to self-reflect and it certainly helps to release the stress from my hectic life. Here are a few treatments that I enjoy at Coquitlam Centre – and they are all under an hour!
Refreshing Spa Facial at 2nd Look Day Spa
This is the perfect skin pick-me-up! Not only does this facial keep my skin healthy with the use of botanical ingredients, it also includes exfoliation and a moisture mask that gives my skin an immediate radiance.

The Eccotique Mani & Pedi Combo at Eccotique Spa & Salon
One of my favourite places to get my nails done is at Eccotique Spa & Salon because of their “Ritual Experience”. After every service, they offer their guests select complimentary services or “rituals” to enhance their experience. You can choose one of the following complimentary services — make-up or hair touch up, aroma chakra journey, back or hand massage. As for the mani and pedi, they do all the essentials … soaking, filing, buffing, trimming, massage and polishing. I always have an amazing experience at Eccotique and with summer starting tomorrow, it’s time for me to book my next visit!

Full Body Massage at Heads Up Hair & Body Spa
There are days when my body is aching from head to toe and all I want is for somebody to massage all that pain away. Ahhh … Heads Up Hair & Body Spa does just that. For an hour, I am in a dark room where I can relax both body and mind … I even fall asleep sometimes. By the way, their current promotion is 50% off the full body massage on Tuesdays!

Foot Reflexology at My Foot Reflexology
This treatment targets the reflex points on your feet. The therapists will work from the knee to the foot. I’m not sure if you’ve ever gotten foot reflexology, but it is one of the best services to get after a long day of shopping. I don’t know about you, but my feet are always tired after all that walking. Foot reflexology is useful to promote blood circulation, as well as soothe tired and aching muscles. If you get this done regularly, it is proven to improve overall health and well-being.
